About Us
Ron Hill started repairing Automatic Transmissions in a small shed at the Gap in Brisbane in 1975. It was an idea of his father in law, Gordon Wallace, to study up on Automatics after marrying his daughter Dell. Ron commenced his Motor Mechanic’s Apprenticeship in the Australian Army and studied Automatics with the International Correspondence School. After 5 years of starting the business at the Gap in Brisbane, it was moved to 44 Kayleigh Drive, Maroochydore in 1980. Ron has a real passion for the subject and it even flows through to his hobby of restoring muscle cars and has built trophy winning vehicles. These have included a highly modified 1956 F100. The next project was a 1955 Chev Tudor Belair Sedan.

Ron took Bill Olah on as a partner after many years of working together in the business. This was a great move as Bill brought a boost of enthusiasm and excellent organizational skills. Bill’s Automotive training was achieved West of Sydney as a Motor Mechanic then moving forward to specialize in Automatic Transmissions. Bill is a keen 4WD enthusiast with trips to Fraser Island, Cape York and Double Island Point being favourites. A trip to King Ash Bay, Northern Territory to fish with the crocs with son Tim. And the big BARRA wasn't caught! Lastest trip was to Fraser Island with the family and caught plenty of spotty mackeral.

Latest project on the Toyota Prado is a shift kit on the transmission.
